ABOUT

Hi, I’m Jamie Wall, and I’ve been riding with the Gap team for two amazing years. It’s been quite a journey, from local races in Ireland to big events like the World Cup. Looking back, I’m really grateful for all the support I’ve had from my team.

When I first joined, I started out my 2022 and 2023 with smaller Irish DH and Enduro events, claiming some podiums which helped boost my confidence moving into some bigger races. Winning some of these races felt great and made me want to try even harder. Later, I moved on to bigger races in the UK, where I learned a lot about what it takes to be a top rider.
The year 2023 was a mix of good and tough times. Getting sponsored by Flyefit gym was a big boost, but it was also a busy year with my Leaving Cert exams. Despite the pressure, I managed to do well in both racing and exams, which was a big achievement for me.
However, there were some tough moments too. I had a bad crash during a race in Austria, which left me with a serious head injury. It was scary, but I knew I had to take care of myself and make the tough decision to sit out of the next race to recover properly.
After getting better, I came back stronger than ever. Winning races in Ireland again felt amazing, and finally getting to compete in the World Cup was a dream come true. Even though it was nerve-wracking, I loved every minute of it and it made me even more determined to keep improving.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to see where this journey with the Gap team will take me next
